There are plenty of reasons to visit London and check out the sights. Even if you already live here, you’re probably going to want to set aside some time every once in a while, to soak up everything the city has to offer. For visitors, one of the biggest attractions has to be the wide range of shopping opportunities that London has to offer.

London has a huge range of shopping streets and areas to explore, each bringing something wonderful to the table. If you’re planning on stocking up, you’re going to need to bring an extra suitcase on your trip, or at least make sure you have someone to help you carry everything back. Here are some of the places you should definitely visit on your vacation.

    1. Oxford Street

Easily one of the top locations for shopping in London, Oxford street is often brimming with crowds, simply because there are so many amazing shops to choose from. Considered the heart of London’s shopping district, Oxford street has more than 300 stores, shops, and outlets to choose from. There are countless international designers and British leaders to explore, including Selfridges.

One of the best things about Oxford Street is how much you can find on a single trip. Just keep in mind that weekends are often very busy here, so be prepared for some significant lines.

    2. Knightsbridge

The Knightsbridge shopping district is perfect if you’re looking for luxury. This is one of the most well-known and traditional retail districts in central London. Shops like Harrods sit in Knightsbridge and stand out as probably one of the most important visitor stops for anyone coming into London from outside of the country. This famous store is spread across 7 floors.

If money isn’t an issue, make sure you visit the Sloan Street area for access to all the amazing designer shops, including Armani, Gucci, and Christian Dior.

    3. Bond Street

Bond street is another place definitely worth visiting if you want to see more luxury and high-priced items. This is where the rich and famous tend to go in London too, so you might catch a glimpse of someone from the television. This is also a hot spot for international designers who are checking out the latest fashions.

Aside from amazing designer stores, Bond Street is also home to some of the most expensive jewellery locations in London, including Cartier, and Tiffany. Antiques and also appear around Bond Street from time to time.

    4. Covent Garden

If variety is what you’re after, then Covent Garden is the place for you. You can find delicious foods, clothing, and a range of other products here, as well as plenty of places to stop and relax between shopping sessions if you just need to relax for a while. Covent Garden is also home to three markets, and the Jubilee market changes through the week, so you can see different products depending on where you visit.

The East Colonnade Market sells things like hand-made and knitted products, as well as various other products, while Apple Market focuses on accessories, antiques, homeware, and artwork.

    5. Westfield London

If the weather isn’t perfect for your trip, make sure that you take the time to check out Westfield. This location features an American-style shopping mall, where you’ll find a theatre, food, and stores all located under one roof. During rainy days, this shopping centre will ensure you can stay warm and dry while still getting all the retail therapy you like.

There are more than 300 high-street and luxury stores to explore, as well as a Village area where you can check out designers, and grab a glass of champagne.
